National HIV/AIDS Conference

Crime Control and Social Development Organisation (CCSDO) proudly collaborated in the Community Engagement Meeting with Key Stakeholders organized with APSWDP under the aegis of Chandigarh State AIDS Control Society (CSACS).

Pathways to Inclusion: Strengthening Support for Vulnerable Communities

CCSDO collaborated in a two-day Virtual Awareness Programme on Social Defence Issues and Rehabilitation of Persons Engaged in Begging, organized in association with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) and APSWDP. The initiative aimed to promote awareness and dialogue on key social defence concerns, which include protection and welfare of vulnerable groups such as marginalized communities, elderly persons, and individuals affected by social exclusion. Social defence programmes focus on strengthening community support systems and improving policies that safeguard dignity and social justice.

Awareness Programme on Social Defence Issues & Rehabilitation of Persons Engaged in Begging

Day 1 of the programme focused on understanding broader Social Defence Issues, highlighting the role of social workers, institutions, and civil society organizations in addressing challenges faced by vulnerable populations. Day 2 focused on the Rehabilitation of Persons Engaged in Begging, discussing rehabilitation strategies such as counselling, education, skill development, and livelihood support to help individuals reintegrate into society with dignity and sustainable opportunities.

Kavita Rawat Presents CCSDO’s Pad Bank Initiative to the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab

On 29 June 2026, Mrs. Kavita Rawat, Founder of the Crime Control & Social Development Organisation (CCSDO), met the Hon’ble Governor of Punjab and Administrator of Chandigarh, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, to share the vision and impact of the Pad Bank Initiative under the Society Changemaker Movement. During the meeting, she presented the initiative’s mission to improve menstrual hygiene and dignity for urban poor adolescent girls and women by ensuring access to quality sanitary pads.

Mrs. Rawat explained the operational framework of the Pad Bank Initiative, which is supported through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnerships, philanthropic organizations, and individual donors. The initiative is designed to provide beneficiaries with sustained menstrual hygiene support for one year while promoting awareness, health, and dignity among underserved communities.

She also shared her commitment to continuously monitor, evaluate, and strengthen the implementation of the initiative to maximize its social impact and long-term sustainability. The meeting marked an important step in advancing collaborative efforts toward creating a future where every woman and girl has access to safe menstrual hygiene products and the dignity they deserve.

Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session – Indira Basti & Timarpur Basti

Crime Control and Social Development Organisation (CCSDO), in collaboration with the Department of Social Work, University of Delhi, conducted a Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Session for women and young girls in Indira Basti and Timarpur Basti.

The session focused on spreading awareness about menstrual health, hygiene practices, breaking taboos, and promoting dignity and confidence among women.

Through such community outreach initiatives, we aim to empower women with the knowledge and resources needed for better health and well-being.
