The Society Changemaker Movement (SCMM) was officially launched on the occasion of World Social Work Day 2026 at Press Club Chandigarh, in the presence of Ms. Kavita Rawat (Founder, CCSDO), Dr. Vivek Trivedi (Founder, APSWDP), and Dr. Anshu Kumar (Former UN Staff).
Month 1 – Launching the Pad Bank Initiative
Pad Bank Initiative
The Society Change Maker Movement (SCMM) launched the Pad Bank Initiative in Noida with the vision of ensuring safe menstrual hygiene for every woman. During the first month, sanitary pads were distributed to 100 women, including street vendors, housemaids, security professionals, labourers, and homemakers. Alongside the distribution, awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene, health, and dignity empowered women with essential knowledge and encouraged them to prioritize their well-being.
The success of the launch was driven by the dedicated efforts of our volunteers Kapish Swami, Shruti Singh, and Ankur, whose commitment helped organize the distribution drive and spread awareness within the community. Their enthusiasm inspired open conversations around menstrual health and laid the foundation for a sustainable movement promoting dignity, equality, and women's health.
Building on the success of the launch, SCMM expanded the Pad Bank Initiative in its second month by reaching 150 women across Noida. The increasing participation reflected the growing trust of the community, as more women joined the initiative and received regular access to quality menstrual hygiene products along with health awareness sessions.
This month's drive was strengthened by the enthusiastic efforts of volunteers Twinkle, Ankita, Shruti, Navv, Shreyansh, and Aryan, whose dedication helped extend support to more beneficiaries. Together, they are transforming the Pad Bank Initiative into a community-led movement that promotes menstrual health, dignity, and equal access for every woman
Month 2 – Growing Our Impact
Under the Pad Bank Initiative, Society Change Maker Movement (SCMM) organized a sanitary pad distribution drive at the Shelter Home of Mahila Kalyan Vibhag, Government of Uttar Pradesh. During the programme, 100 girls received sanitary pads to support safe menstrual hygiene and improve their health and dignity. The initiative focused on ensuring that every girl has access to essential menstrual hygiene products without financial or social barriers.
The activity was successfully conducted with the support of dedicated volunteers and the cooperation of the shelter home authorities. Beneficiary acknowledgements and official receiving records were collected, ensuring transparency and accountability. Through this initiative, SCMM continues its commitment to creating awareness, breaking menstrual stigma, and empowering girls with dignity, health, and confidence.- Clarice Turner

Small Observations Leads to Big Impact - and this is how changemakers begin their Journey
As part of our community engagement activity, Manju Sharma from Trilokpuri participated in an awareness task — understanding her own locality better.
The activity encouraged residents to observe and identify important aspects of their surroundings such as facilities available, existing issues, community needs and areas that require attention.
The purpose of this task is simple yet powerful — real change begins when citizens become aware of their own community. When people understand their neighbourhood, they become more responsible, confident and active in solving local problems.
Through the Changemaker Movement, CCSDO promotes community awareness as the first step towards collective action and social transformation.
